Terms & Conditions – Femwa Safaris
1. Tailor-Made Safaris
Most safaris organized by Femwa Safaris are tailor-made according to our clients’ preferences, including travel dates, group size, accommodation standards, and activities.
Prices and availability are confirmed once the final itinerary has been agreed upon and accommodations are secured.
3. Safari Rates
Safari prices typically include:
Park and conservation entrance fees
Accommodation as specified in the itinerary
Meals during the safari (as stated in the itinerary)
Transport in safari vehicles
Professional driver/guide services
Game drives and activities listed in the itinerary
Safari prices generally do not include:
International or domestic flights
Visa fees
Travel insurance
Personal expenses (drinks, laundry, tips, etc.)
Optional activities not specified in the itinerary
Rates are based on current tariffs, park fees, taxes, and operational costs at the time of booking. These may change due to government regulations, park fee adjustments, or currency fluctuations.
5. Transportation
Transportation will be provided using safari vehicles such as 4×4 Land Cruisers, Land Rovers, minibuses, or other suitable vehicles, depending on the route, terrain, and number of passengers.
All safaris are operated by professional and experienced English-speaking driver-guides.
Femwa Safaris reserves the right to use trusted subcontractors or partner operators for part or all services when necessary.
7. Alteration of Tours
Femwa Safaris reserves the right to modify routes, accommodations, or itineraries when necessary due to circumstances beyond our control, including:
Weather conditions
Road conditions
Safety considerations
Accommodation availability
If a tour must be cancelled by the company, an appropriate refund or alternative arrangement will be offered.
Femwa Safaris also reserves the right to decline to accept or retain any client whose behavior may disrupt the tour or endanger others.
9. Travel Insurance
All guests are strongly advised to obtain comprehensive travel insurance before travelling.
Insurance should cover:
Medical expenses
Personal accidents
Emergency evacuation
Trip cancellation or interruption
Loss or damage to personal belongings
Femwa Safaris cannot be held responsible for costs incurred due to lack of adequate insurance coverage.
2. Reservation & Payment
A deposit of 30% of the total safari cost is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.
The remaining balance must be paid at least 33 days before the safari departure date.
Bookings made within 33 days of the safari start date require full payment at the time of confirmation.
Payments may be made through bank transfer, mobile money, or other approved payment methods.
4. Cancellation Policy
If a booking is cancelled, refunds will be processed after deducting any cancellation charges from hotels, lodges, transport providers, park authorities, and other suppliers.
Cancellation charges are as follows:
40 – 30 days before arrival: 30% of the total safari cost
29 – 16 days before arrival: 50% of the total safari cost
15 days or less before arrival or No-Show: 100% of the total safari cost
Bank transfer fees or payment processing charges may also be deducted from refunds.
6. Accommodation
Accommodation is generally based on two people sharing a twin or double room/tent.
Single rooms or tents can be arranged upon request and subject to availability, usually at an additional single-supplement cost.
While every effort is made to secure the accommodations listed in the itinerary, Femwa Safaris reserves the right to substitute accommodations with similar or higher standards when necessary.
8. Liability
Femwa Safaris acts only as an agent for accommodation providers, transport companies, and other travel partners.
While every effort is made to ensure safe and enjoyable travel, Femwa Safaris shall not be liable for injury, illness, loss, damage, delay, or inconvenience caused by circumstances beyond our control, including:
Accidents
Natural disasters
Wildlife encounters
Political or civil disturbances
Actions of third-party service providers
10. Personal Risk
Participation in safaris, wildlife viewing, hiking, and adventure activities involves an element of personal risk.
By booking with Femwa Safaris, clients acknowledge and accept these risks.
Femwa Safaris will take reasonable precautions to ensure guest safety, but cannot be held responsible for incidents arising from circumstances beyond its control.
